Dr. Yan Liu initiated QMS in September 2016. The purpose of QMS is to build a community where graduate students can have the opportunities to learn more skills in quantitative methods and exchange research ideas. Both our society members and non-members are welcome to join our events. Our members have the priority to attend our events and non-members may not be able to attend events due to limited seats.
What do we do?
We will organize events and activities, such as reading journal papers, presenting our own research projects, exchange our research ideas and giving each other feedback, learning some interesting quantitative methods or skills, and inviting speakers to give talks on research methods.
Who can join us?
Graduate students who are interested in quantitative methods and research methodology in general are welcome to join us. There is no restrictions on disciplines, but the priority will be given to students who are currently registered in Faculty of Education.
